I hate the term fixed income. It’s stupid. I’m also confused about what a “very” fixed income is.

It probably means they all live off the Social Security and/or retirement income of one member of the family. It could also be that some/all are on some kind of government handout.

The interior of that house gave me flashbacks to my childhood. There are a lot of hoarders in my family. They were all house poor... My parents and siblings still live in this kind of squalor.
